Matt's Scare
This past weekend is a weekend that will be hard to forget. On Friday, October 2, Matt called me to tell me he had been in an accident at work. He was removing a slidding glass door, when his co-worker, Crack Head Bob, decided to smash the top of the glass with a pry bar. Needless to say, the glass shattered and landed on Matt. His boss took him to get stitches while I waited at work. I picked him up around lunch time to avoid the messy scene. I don't know what I was thinking...I guess I figured he would be nice and clean when he left the Dr.'s. I was wrong! He was covered in his blood stained clothes with a wrap on his hand. It is now a week later and his 5 stitches should be removed soon. Thankfully it wasn't any worse that it was.
Noah's Scare
Noah has realized he can stand up and he likes it! I am having to re-baby proof everything! Things I thought were safe are no longer in the safe category. Noah has given up on his sweet army crawl and has advanced to the knee crawl, although I don't think it's working for him. He is ready to stand. Noah scoots around with his right knee raised, foot on the floor, with his left leg propelling...he looks like he's going to start a marathon..and he is...to the couch, to the drumset, to the door, to the table and chairs...he has no boundaries. I feel like my heart is going to sink when I look over and he's standing unassisted. I'm waiting for him to crash before I can reach him. He has become quite the little esacpe artist. He's almost able to climb out of his crib..then I'm going to be in some real trouble.
It's all a part of growing up.
